China Executes Three Filipinos For Drug Trafficking

Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario, and Elizabeth Batain were executed in China after being convicted of drug trafficking. Fellow Filipinos, offered their deepest sympathies to the families that they have left behind.

The two women and one man were arrested separately carrying packages containing at least 4kg (8lb) of the drug.
They were allowed to see their families before their executions.
Elizabeth Batain, 38 years old, was executed at a prison in the southern city of Shenzhen.
Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, 32 years old, and Ramon Credo, 42 years old, were put to death in the port city of Xiamen.
They were the first Filipinos to be executed in China for drug trafficking,Philippine officials said.
President Noynoy Aquino offered his deepest sympathies to the families of the Filipinos who were executed in China. President Aquino said that his administration pleaded with the Chinese government to commute the death sentences to life imprisonment consistent with the laws and values of our country.

Unfortunately, the Peoples Republic of China did not agree, and we must respect their legal processes," he said.

However, President Aquino ask Filipino people not to allow the situation not to affect the historic friendship between Philippines and China.

According to President Aquino the Department of Social Welfare and Development has been providing grief counseling to the families of the three Filipinos.

The three Filipinos were convicted of drug trafficking but they can also be considered as "victims of unscrupulous recruiters and drug traffickers, and victims of a society that could not provide for them enough gainful employment in their home country," the President said.

A Girl Who Had Been To Hell and Heaven

A young Ecuadorian girl named Angelica Zambrano claims to have gone to heaven and hell accompanied by Jesus Christ. She witnessed Jesus weeping as He overlooked multitudes of souls lost forever, a world that has rejected Him, a Church that is mostly unprepared for Him, people that have stopped witnessing to the lost, and an entertainment industry that even lures children to satan. She witnessed many of our esteemed cultural icons suffering in the Pit; singers, entertainers, and even a pope. Angelica was also shown how the Kingdom of Heaven is all wonderfully prepared and ready, an unimaginable glorious place, where no evil exists. Though Jesus is only coming back for the Holy People, and many of God's children will not be ready on that day, and will be left behind in a world that will fall apart. -aka.23 Horas Muertra This video is sure to be controversial, it has started a firestorm of discussions and argument all over South America. Now, finally translated into English, it will probably be just as contentious here. Many of you just won't believe this.

Tokneneng - Pinoy's Favorite Street Food

After class, as I leave the school, I usually walk a few steps together with my friends along the sidewalks just to buy this Tokneneng. Me and my friends enjoy the taste of this addictive street food. Not only because of its cheap price, but its taste really suits our likes. And one thing that I like about this street food is that it really fills your stomach with just a few bucks.

I usually find Tokneneng street food vendors almost anywhere along the sidewalks. And I think they really are making a desirable profit out of this business. I could say this because, I find that Filipino people really love thisTokneneng, and they really enjoy its taste. And does not cost much, therefore it is affordable and budget-friendly.

Tokneneng are hard boiled eggs that are dipped with yellowish or reddish batter and deep-fried until it becomes crispy. To eat Tokneneng you may dip it with vinegar with spices or sweet sauce. Others prefer to dip it with ketchup, mayonnaise. Its all up to you, what sauce do you prefer to dip yourTokneneng in.

And so, now I could say that Tokneneng is now the top leading street food in the Philippines.

My Adenium Obesum Are In Bloom

I just love to see the beauty of my Adenium plants every time they start to bloom. I always keep on waiting for these plants until it totally spread its lovely and attractive flowers. I started collecting this adeniums or the so called calachuchi plant here in the Philippines during my College years. I use to visit Lingayen Plaza every Saturday morning and look for some cheap seedlings or baby adeniums. Until I got addicted to it, and I began finding some varieties of its kind that produces different style and color.

Adenium is commonly known as calachuchi, or desert-rose. You can find this flowering plant in temperate regions. Which is popular as a houseplant. Adenium is an evergreen succulent shrub. Adenium can also lose all its leaves during cold weather.

I propagate adeniums by cuttings, pinching, and grafting. Since I was so excited on how am I going to manage this plants, I made a simple research on how to take care of this plants, and on how to propagate it properly. At first, I was having a hard time taking care of this plants since I don't have any idea on how to take good care of these plants. But, as time goes by, I learned that taking care of this plants was just so easy after all!. And until now, I'm still keeping this little hobby of my mine as my past time. I really Enjoy planting and propagating this adeniums, and in return, these lovely flowering plants also enjoy producing attractive flowers for me.

Holy Week in 2011

Holy Week is celebrated by Christians around the world to reminisce the most important event in Christian beliefs - The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Lingayen, just like in any other places in the Philippines, celebrates the Holy Week yearly. As a Christian they believe that this celebration is the time for them to ask forgiveness for everything, and to give thanks. People of Lingayen go to the Church with there family, friends and participate with the ceremony, listen to the priest's sermon, and to pray.

During Holy Weeks, people of Lingayen, and from nearby towns usually starts to walk from their towns going to the Manaoag Church. Filipino people call this as "panata". Many Filipinos perform a panata, which has come to mean a repayment for a prayer or wish that was granted.

Other forms of panata for Filipino Christians is to whip their backs, until the skin bleeds. Scourging. Others wear crown made of thorns. Other people have themselves crucified on a wooden cross using steel nails.

My Orchids Are In Bloom

I just love to see the beauty of my Orchids every time they start to bloom. I always keep on waiting for these plants until it totally spread its lovely and attractive flowers. I started collecting this Orchids during my College years. I use to visit Lingayen Plaza every Saturday morning and look for some cheap and young orchids. Until I got addicted to it, and I began finding some varieties of its kind that produces different style and color.

Majority of this orchids can be found growing anchored to trees and shrubs in tropical and Subtropical regions. While others grown on rocks or on very rocky soil.

Orchids can reproduce by pollination. Since orchids have developed highly specialized pollination system. This is why orchids remain for very long periods, and why these plants deliver pollen grains in a single mass. Which results to high success rate pollination, and thousands of ovules are fertilized.

Through the accumulation of growth hormones orchids also produce offshoots which grows from one of the nodes along the stem.

Taking care and propagating orchids is so easy and I really enjoy planting and propagating this orchids, and in return, these lovely flowering plants also enjoy producing attractive flowers for me.

Pigar-Pigar in Dagupan City

A picture of pigar-pigar served in Galvan Street, Dagupan City

During my college days, my friends and I go to Galvan Street in Dagupan City every month just to eat Pigar-pigar for our dinner. Pigar-pigar is one of the most in-demand food in Dagupan City, and people from nearby towns visit Dagupan City just for this.

Pigar-pigar is a thinly sliced carabao's meat or cow's meat (beef) which are seasoned purely with salt and pepper. And cooked deep-fry. And depending on the costumers, they may put some add-ons to this recipe like, onion rings, sliced cabbage, cauliflower and others.

The Street of Pigar-pigar

When I was young, my father used to eat Pigar-pigar in Galvan Street, Dagupan City. He often brings me there, but I never have the guts to taste it, not knowing that it really taste so good. One more thing is that Pigar-pigar doesn't sound good. Yet I was wondering why do people still love this pigar-pigar. And so during my college days, my classmates invited me to eat dinner in Galvan Street. And there, finally I have no choice but to eat pigar-pigar for dinner. And I was expecting that it would be a problem for me later on thinking that I might not like the taste of pigar-pigar. Unexpectedly, it just turned out to be so good. I enjoyed eating pigar-pigar. And I ask my friends to go to Galvan at least once a month to eat pigar-pigar for dinner.
